Course Description

Health and wellness coaches play an important role in supporting individuals as they work toward healthier lifestyles and improved well-being. In the course of their work, coaches may interact with clients in a variety of settings, including private practices, community programs, wellness centers, group coaching environments, and virtual or in-person events. While these settings promote health and personal growth, they can also present opportunities for the transmission of infectious diseases if appropriate precautions are not followed.

Infection prevention and control practices help reduce these risks and contribute to a safe environment for both clients and professionals. As health and wellness coaches, it is important to understand common sources of infection, recognize situations that may increase risk, and apply practical strategies that support the health and safety of everyone involved.

This course was designed to provide health and wellness coaches with foundational knowledge and practical tools for infection prevention and control in everyday practice. You will learn basic scientific concepts related to infectious diseases, how infections can spread in coaching and wellness settings, and evidence-based strategies to reduce transmission risk. The course will also introduce best practices that support safe, professional, and health-conscious coaching environments.
